Geotechnical Engineer

For one of our clients executing offshore renewable energy projects, we are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to provide specialised engineering services for wind turbine foundations and associated infrastructure such as cables, scour protection, etc.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Perform geotechnical analyses within the field of Seabed Intervention, utilising both standard calculation software and advanced Finite Element Method tools.
• Contribute to the development and review of procedures and design documents.
• Offer geotechnical expertise in offshore engineering, covering aspects such as monopile installation methods/procedures, driveability assessments in various soil types, and equipment selection.
• Prepare and review reports based on in-house analyses.
• Review subcontractor scopes of work and client-provided procedures.
• Support research and development activities within Seabed Intervention, including applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in geotechnical analysis.
• Actively participate in internal meetings, client meetings, yard visits, mobilisations, and offshore projects.
• Provide on-site geotechnical expertise at offshore wind projects.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers in your area of expertise.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field with a specialisation in geotechnics.
• At least 1-3 years experience in the field of geotechnical engineering.
• Approachable and able to establish credibility while effectively engaging and influencing individuals at all organisational levels.
• Solution-oriented, with strong planning and organisational skills, and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Demonstrates a high degree of analytical skills.
• Excels as a team player, contributing effectively to collaborative efforts.
• Demonstrates a willingness to expand one's knowledge base and advance in their career.
