Profile Project Information Engineer

Do you have experience managing complex engineering data and ensuring its accuracy across large-scale offshore projects? Can you improve data workflows and implement automation to optimise project efficiency?

We are looking for a Project Information Engineer to ensure the quality, integrity, and consistency of engineering data across disciplines in large EPC projects, managing data workflows, coordinating engineering applications, and ensuring compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Develop the Project Engineering Data Management Plan based on project requirements and internal standards.
  • Ensure the engineering team understand and adheres to project, client, and internal data management requirements.
  • Communicate and promote the project's data management strategy and execution roadmap to engineering teams.
  • Set and maintain data quality standards, ensuring compliance with project needs, client requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with Discipline Leads and Managers to forecast staffing, tools, and software needs for data management.
  • Work with Digital Solution Specialists to resolve hardware/software issues related to engineering applications.
  • Partner with the Project Information Engineer (Information Management) to integrate engineering data into overall project information.
  • Monitor, interpret, and report engineering data consistency, compliance, and completeness.
  • Ensure timely data progress reporting and collaborate with project teams and clients for quality assurance.
  • Manage the handover of completed project information and documentation to the client in line with agreed procedures.
  • Assist in the project closeout process, ensuring lessons learned and improvements in data management practices are documented.

Requirements Project Information Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in system engineering related to medium or large Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Hands-on experience with engineering design applications & tools is a plus!
  • Strong understanding of engineering applications, including:
    • AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Diagram, AVEVA E3D, and SmartPlant Instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
  • Project-oriented mindset with a deep understanding of the EPC project lifecycle (FEED to commissioning and handover).
  • Ability to handle large datasets across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Process improvement mindset, continuously seeking ways to enhance data management processes.
  • Strong decision-making and accountability, ensuring commitments are met.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across disciplines.
  • Problem-solving and solution-focused with a result-driven approach.
  • High attention to detail and a structured approach to data management.
