Senior Structural Engineer

For one of our clients providing innovative offshore solutions, we are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to support project teams with calculation and the development of methods and procedures for installing, removing and transporting offshore constructions.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Perform structural engineering from concept design to detailed design for the design of grillage and seafastening, lift points lifting appliances, and installation aids.
• Prepare and review structural design reports.
• Plan assigned tasks and keep the project team informed on progress and any deviations.
• Liaise with those necessary to comply with the task.
• Guide engineers concerning calculation methods and installation methods.
• Prepare and update work packages of procedures, methods, drawings, etc. for various phases of the work.
• Resolve technical queries and recommend solutions to engineering problems related to structural elements.
• Prepare detailed calculations on project-related subjects such as rigging, pad-eyes, seafastening, barge grillages, etc.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and relevant codes.
• Liaise with other departments and participate in project meetings.
• Supervise and guide Structural Engineers concerning calculation methods and procedures.

• Bachelor's (HTS) or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience in a project/construction-related environment in a Structural Engineering based role.
• Must have experience in the offshore construction industry.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Team player.
• Flexible and hands-on mentality.
• Willing to travel abroad to sites and sometimes offshore on the vessels.
