Project Controller

We are looking for a Project Controller to manage project finances, including invoicing and budget tracking, working closely with project managers and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations within large-scale offshore and energy projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with project managers, department heads, and specialists to track project progress and financial performance.
• Manage and oversee project financials, including creating sales invoices and monitoring project budgets.
• Maintain continuous communication with planners, procurement, and management to ensure financial alignment with project execution.
• Handle project-related financial administration, such as purchase invoice tracking and hours registration (performed by accounting).
• Perform financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making for ongoing projects.
• Ensure financial accuracy and timely invoicing for projects, helping maintain cash flow and project profitability.
• Support the management team with financial insights, forecasts and budget assessments for projects.
• Act as a liaison between the project team and the accounting department to ensure smooth financial processes.

• A Master's degree is required, preferably in finance, economics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a project-driven environment, with a background in financial control or similar.
• Experience in the offshore or energy sector is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in project environments.
• Ability to work closely with multiple departments, including project management, procurement, and accounting.
• Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data and processes to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented, with a problem-solving mindset.
