We are looking for a Tekla Designer to create detailed 3D models and drawings of steel structures for various oil and gas projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Use Tekla Software to design and develop comprehensive 3D models specifically for offshore steel structures, such as platforms and rigs.
• Generate accurate fabrication and assembly drawings that meet the unique challenges and specifications of offshore environments.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders who specialise in offshore projects to understand design requirements and incorporate them into models.
• Ensure all designs comply with offshore industry standards, such as ISO, API, or other relevant codes specific to offshore operations.
• Attend project meetings and design reviews that focus on offshore projects to discuss progress, address design challenges, and implement solutions.
• Conduct thorough quality checks, ensuring that models and drawings meet the rigorous safety and durability requirements for offshore environments.
• Keep detailed records of design iterations, changes, and approvals for offshore projects as part of the project documentation process.

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, with a focus or coursework relevant to offshore engineering.
• Proven experience using Tekla Structures for modelling and detailing offshore steel structures, such as platforms, rigs, or other marine-based installations.
• Demonstrated experience in structural design specifically for offshore environments, understanding the unique challenges and requirements.
• Familiarity with offshore-specific standards and codes, such as ISO, API, or DNV.
• High level of attention to detail, particularly in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of offshore designs.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration with offshore engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong ability to identify and solve design-related issues specific to offshore projects.
• Competence in other design and modelling software relevant to offshore projects, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other marine-specific design tools, can be an advantage.
