Junior Document Controller

We are looking for a Junior Document Controller to help keep document workflows running smoothly. In this role, you will register new files, verify metadata, track reviews, and ensure engineers always work with the latest revision. This is an ideal first step for detail-oriented graduates who enjoy order, data quality, and supporting large technical teams.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Register incoming drawings, manuals, calculations, and correspondences in the electronic document management systems (EDMS).
• Verify filenames, tag numbers, and metadata against project naming conventions before release.
• Issue transmittals and ensure reviewers, suppliers, and clients receive the correct package on time.
• Track status (for review, comment, AFC) and follow up on outstanding approvals.
• Maintain in the Master Document Register (MDR) and generate weekly dashboard reports.
• Archive superseded revisions; ensure only current versions are visible in model and procurement workflows.
• Support users with searches and quick retrieval of standards, templates, or legacy data.
• Assist the Document Control Lead with access rights, audit preparation, and process improvement tasks.

• MBO/HBO diploma in Administration, Information Management, Engineering Technology, or similar.
• 0-2 years of experience in document control, data administration, or project support.
• Strong attention to detail, good MS Office skills, and eagerness to master EDMS/ERP tools; prior exposure to SharePoint, IN8, Aconex, or equivalent is a plus!
• Organised, deadline-driven, and comfortable handling large volumes of documents.
• Clear communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage!
• Interested in offshore wind or large-scale engineering projects.
