We are looking for a Lead Engineer Instrumentation to oversee the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation systems for offshore energy projects, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of instrumentation engineers, guiding project work and professional development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems with other project components.
• Oversee the selection, specification, and procurement of instrumentation equipment, ensuring compatibility and compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and implement instrumentation strategies, plans, and procedures to enhance project execution and operational efficiency.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments to ensure the reliability and safety of instrumentation systems.
• Stay ahead of technological advancements in instrumentation and control systems, applying innovative solutions to projects where applicable.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for instrumentation engineering matters, liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets, identifying and addressing potential delays or cost overruns related to instrumentation engineering.
• Prepare and review technical documentation including design drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation engineering within the offshore energy sector or similar industries.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers, with strong project management skills.
• Proficient in the design and implementation of complex instrumentation and control systems.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations about instrumentation in offshore environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate and apply new technologies in instrumentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using instrumentation design analysis software tools.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory, with a willingness to learn if necessary.
