Project Engineer

Do you have experience coordinating offshore packages from specs to FAT/SAT? Can you keep the project(s) schedule, budget and interfaces under control while multiple disciplines move at once?

We are looking for a Project Engineer who coordinates multi-discipline engineering, planning, and suppliers to turn complex offshore-energy concepts into buildable, on-time, on-budget deliverables.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Translate client requirements into clear scopes, specifications, and deliverables.
• Plan and coordinate multi-discipline, engineering (mechanical, electrical, piping, structural, E&I).
• Support the project manager with schedule, budget, risks, and quality; keep registers up to date.
• Drive interface management across disciplines and with contractors/suppliers.
• Prepare/review technical documents: specifications, datasheets, MTOs, ITPs, and change notes.
• Lead or support design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, constructability and operability sessions.
• Coordinate procurement inputs: RFQs, TBE/technical bid evaluations, vendor clarifications.
• Follow-up on vendor documents; track action lists and close-outs.
• Organise FAT/SAT and documentation handover; support commissioning as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and relevant standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, DNV) throughout the EPC phases.
• Report progress and issues to stakeholders; propose mitigations and recovery plans.
• When required, act as work-package lead or (sub)project lead for specific assignments.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical/Process, Maritime or similar.
• 3-8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer/Lead Engineer on offshore energy, marine, or heavy-industry projects (EPC/EPCM).
• Proven coordination of multi-disciplinary engineering with schedule, budget, and quality responsibility,
• Comfortable with specs, TBEs, change control, risk management, and stage-gate ways of working,
• Familiar with tools such as MS Project/Primavera, and document/requirements platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Relatics, or similar).
• Experience interfacing with procurement, vendors, fabricators, and witnessing FAT/SAT.
• Clear communicator (both verbally and in writing) with strong stakeholders skills; English fluency required (Dutch is a plus).
• Willingness to visit yard/site or client locations when needed.
