Project Engineer Offshore Brownfield

As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for a brownfield project within Iv’s Offshore & Energy division in Papendrecht. You will translate client requirements into technically feasible solutions while managing interfaces between different engineering disciplines and the existing offshore installation. You will support the Project Manager with planning, budget, progress and quality and act as an important link between the client, engineering teams and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for modifications and upgrades to existing offshore facilities
• Manage technical interfaces between disciplines such as mechanical, piping, structural, process and E&I
• Translate client requirements and existing installation constraints into practical engineering solutions
• Support project planning, budget control, progress monitoring, quality and technical decision-making
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and engineering stakeholders throughout the project

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline
• Solid experience with multidisciplinary offshore projects, preferably involving brownfield modifications to existing offshore facilities
• Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Lead Engineer within an engineering or EPC environment is strongly preferred
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively between clients and multidisciplinary technical teams
  Professional proficiency in Dutch and English is required for communication with project teams and stakeholders
• Candidates must be based in the Netherlands and available to work at the project location from 1 October 2026

• Offshore Brownfield Experience — Experience with modifications, upgrades, revamps or extensions of existing offshore installations/platforms.
• Project Engineering Experience — Proven experience as a Project Engineer, Lead Engineer or in a comparable technical project coordination position.
• Multidisciplinary Engineering Coordination — Able to coordinate disciplines such as Mechanical, Piping, Structural, Process and E&I and manage the interfaces between them.
• Strong Technical Engineering Background — HBO/Bachelor’s or WO/Master’s technical education, ideally Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical/Process Engineering or similar.
• Stakeholder & Client Coordination — Comfortable working between engineering teams, project management, clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Professional Dutch & English — Dutch is required for professional communication within the project environment, alongside a good command of English.
• Netherlands-Based & Available from 1 October — Currently based in the Netherlands, able to work at the project location in Papendrecht, and available to start 1 October 2026.
