We are looking for a Buyer to manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant purchasing of goods and services for engineering and construction projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for project materials, equipment, and services.
- Analyse technical requisitions and clarify requirements with engineering teams.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate bids, and conduct commercial negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with project budget, timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and project teams to align procurement with project needs.
- Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate documentation in procurement systems.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
- Contribute to supplier qualification, cost-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to HSE, quality, and ethical procurement standards.
- Report procurement status and risks to project management.
Requirements Buyer
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Engineering).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a procurement or buying role, preferably in engineering, energy, or industrial projects.
- Experience with complex technical purchases and international vendor coordination.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and commercial evaluation skills.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus!).
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
