Profile Contract Manager

Can you guide a contract from tender to close-out while keeping risks, claims and cash under control? Have you negotiated FIDIC/NEC terms and translated them into clear, actionable project steps?

We are looking for a Contract Manager to oversee the entire contract lifecycle for major offshore energy projects. This includes reviewing and negotiating tenders, executing contracts, managing changes and claims, and closing out projects, ensuring that risks are controlled and obligations are crystal clear.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts/subcontracts, align terms with project objectives, and manage approvals and correspondence.
  • Review ITT/RFQ packages, scopes and specs, prepare qualifications/deviations, assess risks/opportunities, and coordinate with Legal on guarantees, insurance and pre-bid agreements.
  • Translate head-contract obligations into clear project instructions and flow-downs, run contract kick-offs, and monitor deliverables, milestones and compliance.
  • Set up change control, manage deliverables, milestones and compliance.
  • Organise risk/change sessions, maintain risk and obligations registers, track securities (insurance, bonds, warranties) and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, finance, and QS to align subcontract strategies and performance with the terms of the head contract.

Requirements Contract Manager

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction or Quantity Surveying.
  • 5-10 years of experience in contract management within offshore, energy, EPC or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on with standard forms (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, EPC/FEED) and able to draft, modify and negotiate contracts & subcontracts.
  • Proven claims/change experience (EOT, LDs, force majeure) and strong risk analysis capability.
  • Solid tendering background: bid reviews, T&C negotiations, qualifications/deviations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with contract/ERP/EDMS tools (e.g., SharePoint/Doc control) and MS Office.
  • Fluent English; Dutch is an advantage. Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a matrix project environment; willing to travel as needed.
