Electrical Designer

For one of our clients providing a wide range of renewable energy solutions, we are looking for an Electrical Designer. As an Electrical Designer, you will be involved in the electrical design of energy production platforms or parts thereof.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Develop, prepare, check, and coordinate designs, drawings, and other (technical) documents needed for electrical systems complying with recognised drafting standards, company practices, policies, and procedures.
• Provide support in the procurement of electrical components.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines such as Process, E&I, and Mechanical.
• Provide technical advice during the procurement and construction process (e.g., placement of the platforms).

• At least 3 years of experience working for an Engineering company.
• Experience in greenfield LV power distribution detailed design.
• Experience with offshore platform design.
• Experience with HV substation design.
• Experience with lighting design.
• Familiar with LV distribution systems like LV switchgear, UPS systems, and LV distribution boards.
• Proficient in preparing electrical detailed design deliverables, such as:
  • Cablelist.
  • LV distribution block diagrams.
  • Small power/lightning/earthing layouts.
  • Termination diagrams.
  • Installation of typical hookups.
  • Mounting typicals.
• Familiar with E3D.
• Familiar with Smart Plant Instrumentation.
