Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, develop and maintain electrical systems and components for optimal performance and reliability of offshore oil and gas production facilities.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Develop detailed designs for electrical systems and components in offshore platforms and vessels, including power distribution systems and control circuits.
• Ensure integration of electrical systems with other engineering disciplines to meet overall project specifications.
• Use advanced software to simulate electrical systems and predict performance under various conditions.
• Prepare and maintain necessary technical documentation, including design files, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams to plan, execute, and oversee the installation of electrical systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations, such as those set by the IEC.
• Conduct system tests, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to ensure the reliability and functionality of electrical components.
• Provide support for maintaining and operating electrical systems on offshore platforms, ensuring continuous operation.
• Research and implement new technologies and methods to improve the efficiency and safety of electrical systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure components meet necessary specifications and quality standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Several years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Proficient in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar.
• Familiarity with international standards and regulations related to electrical systems in the offshore sector, such as IEC, NEC, and ATEX.
• Ability to manage projects effectively, from design to implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and risk assessment in designing and managing electrical systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Capable of adapting to changing technologies and project requirements.
