For one of our clients providing offshore and energy solutions, we are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer who can generate the technical documentation for the purchase and design of instruments, including the technical quality of the purchases. You will work together with other specialists, and you will have the freedom to supervise and maintain quality assurance to ensure customers of the use of modern technical practices, methods, materials and equipment.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating the technical documentation for the purchase and design of field instrumentation, valves, monitoring, security, fire/gas detection and telecommunication systems needed for the automation of the oil, gas, and wind processes that have been developed by the company.
  • Responsible for the technical quality of the purchases mentioned above, starting with the bid evaluation up to and including performing tests.

Requirements Instrumentation Engineer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience working for an Engineering company.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in Greenfield automation and telecommunication detailed engineering.
  • Experience with offshore platform design.
  • Experience with HV substations design.
  • Experience in preparing spec, TBE and attending FAT for SCADA/DCS system.
  • Experience in preparing spec, TBE and attending FAT for telecommunication systems like CCTV, PAGA, radio systems, LAN, WiFi, etc.
  • Experience in preparing spec, TBE and attending FAT for fire and gas detection systems.
  • Experience in preparing instrumentation detailed design deliverables, such as:
    • Cablelists.
    • Instrument/telecom/fire detection block diagrams.
    • Instrument telecom/fire detection layouts.
    • Termination diagrams.
    • Installation of typical hookups.
    • Mounting typicals.
    • Loop diagrams.
  • Proficient in preparing engineering deliverables, such as:
    • Cause and Effect.
    • Control Narratives.
    • Network architecture diagrams.
  • Familiar with AVEVA E3D.
  • Proficient in Smart Plant Instrumentation.
