We are looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to design, calculate, and integrate complex shipboard systems, including propulsion, fuel, cooling, firefighting and auxiliary systems, while leading a small team and serving as the primary technical liaison with clients, shipyards, and classification societies.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Define project scope, hours, and budgets in alignment with internal teams and clients.
- Create systems schematics, calculations, machinery layouts, and equipment arrangements.
- Ensure designs meet class requirements and relevant maritime standards.
- Lead and support a small team of engineers and draftsmen.
- Act as the primary technical contact for shipyards, clients, and classification societies.
Requirements Lead Marine Systems Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or similar.
- At least 8 years of experience in marine systems design and integration.
- Strong understanding of piping, machinery, arrangements, propulsion systems and technical spaces.
- Hands-on experience with design and analysis tools (e.g., Solid Edge, FEM).
- Able to lead projects while actively contributing on the technical side.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing; Dutch is not required.
