We are looking for a Materials and Corrosion Engineer/Focal Point to ensure the integrity and longevity of pipeline installations, contributing significantly to energy transition projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, offering expertise to solve technical issues related to CP Systems.
  • Develop and implement policy, providing support in the creation of system policy plans.
  • Optimise maintenance concepts and philosophies, prescribing maintenance tasks and ensuring their proper execution.
  • Analyse field data and monitor equipment performance to facilitate decision-making and implement improvements to the transport network.
  • Collaborate with procurement to streamline maintenance outsourcing, providing technical content for outsourced work.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the company's mission, vision, and strategy from the perspective of materials and corrosion engineering.
  • Optimise object structure in SAP PM and material groups in SAP-MM.
  • Conduct functional management of assigned resources.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant national and international standards and guidelines, ensuring internal quality documents are up to date.
  • Contribute engineering expertise to projects and collaborate across professional disciplines to maintain the integrity of the transport network.

Requirements Materials and Corrosion Engineer/Focal Point

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical and social skills, capable of quickly identifying root causes.
  • Ability to anticipate consequences and prioritise main issues.
  • Active participation in team environments, adept at giving and receiving feedback.
  • Independent and goal-oriented, with a focus on achieving results.
  • Commitment to clear goal adherence and adaptability.
