We are looking for a Pipeline Test Engineer to plan, execute, and certify pipeline pre-commissioning and pressure testing activities, both onshore and offshore. You'll be responsible for turning complex testing scopes into safe, compliant, and executable plans, guiding projects from preparation through final acceptance.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the full testing scope, including procedure writing, ITPs and test packs for flooding, cleaning & gauging, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying and leak testing.
  • Perform engineering calculations for test pressures, volumes, temperature effects, pump/compressor sizing, and define instrumentation and data-logging requirements.
  • Mobilise and coordinate testing spreads and subcontractors, interface with vessel, site and project teams while managing SIMOPS, permits, chemicals and discharges.
  • Supervise testing execution on site, monitor live data, troubleshoot issues, verify calibrations, and issue test certificates and punch-list.
  • Compile final dossiers and as-built documentation, and liaise with clients, third-party verifiers and project controls.

Requirements Pipeline Test Engineer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Offshore/Marine Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in pipeline pre-commissioning/pressure testing within an offshore or marine environment.
  • Solid knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., DNV-ST-F101, ISO 13623, ASME B31.4/B31.8).
  • Hands-on experience with pigging operations, hydrotest equipment, compressors, nitrogen drying, gauges/transducers and data-logging systems.
  • Proven ability to produce clear procedures, drawings and close-out documentation.
  • Strong HSE awareness, especially regarding chemical handling and environmental compliance.
  • Willingness to travel and work offshore; offshore medical/survival certification is an advantage.
