Project Engineer - Heavy Lift

We are looking for a Project Engineer - Heavy Lift to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, planning, and execution of large offshore installation and removal projects. In this role, you take ownership from concept development through detailed engineering and offshore execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with maximum value.

You will operate at the intersection of engineering leadership, innovation, and execution, guiding teams that develop unique lifting methodologies for topsides and jacket structures of up to 60,000 tonnes.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary Agile Team, including structural, heavy lift, naval, and drafting disciplines, across concept, basic, and detailed engineering phases.
• Oversee the design, engineering and fabrication of innovative lifting tools, supports and installation methodologies for large offshore structures.
• Translate project objectives into clear priorities, plans and deliverables, managing scope, progress and interfaces throughout the engineering process.
• Prepare and review procedures, manuals and technical documentation, and provide engineering support during yard activities and offshore execution.
• Interface with clients, subcontractors, project managers and internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with project requirements.
• Monitor progress, assess risks, and make informed decisions in close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring they are fit for purpose, safe and compliant.
• Represent, motivate and support the team, fostering collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Maritime Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience in engineering roles within an offshore and/or marine environment.
• Experience as a lead or project engineer is a strong advantage.
• Ability to combine technical depth with team leadership and coordination.
• Willingness to travel and work offshore when required.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong interest in offshore and renewable neergy developments.
• Decisive, results-driven mindset with strong communication and organisational skills.
