Are you a seasoned professional with a background in electrical engineering? Do you have experience in leading complex projects in electrical substations?

For one of our clients, a global engineering and project management firm, we are looking for a Project Lead to oversee and manage projects related to electrical substations.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Direct reporting to the Program Manager.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Leader.
- Contribute to conceptual design with experts, designers, and outsourcing partners.
- Oversee and follow up on engineering studies.
- Review studies and obtain approval from experts, designers, and partners.
- Participate in the procurement of key equipment.
- Coordinate logistics for key equipment.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) towards suppliers.
- Contribute to the procurement of the EPCIC-FIM Contract for substation construction.
- Participate in the procurement of smaller execution contracts.
- Assist in compiling the EPC contract.
- Monitor and follow up on the EPC contract.
- Collaborate on budgeting activities.
- Contribute to updating the project scope.
- Participate in updating the schedule and scenario.
- Proactively seek design opportunities to enhance project benefits.
- Ensure timely delivery, quality, and safety in assigned tasks.
- Cooperate and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of experts and internal/external consultants.
- Integrate electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering aspects into the project.
- Act as a safety leader, actively contributing to the feedback process.
- Continuously seek technical improvements and safety enhancements.
- Provide regular reports on the status and progress of assigned tasks.
Requirements Project Lead 'substations'
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; a Master's degree is considered advantageous.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of electrical substation design, construction, and commissioning processes.
- Showcase proven experience in project engineering, with a particular focus on EPC-FIM within the energy sector.
- Experience with GIS, AIS, transformers, and familiarity with Secondary System is a valuable asset.
- Proficient in utilising project maangement tools and software.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is considered and advantage.
- Possess a keen sense of responsibility and excellent organisational skills.
- Demonstrate assertive communication skills and be a resourceful, solution-oriented team player.
- Exhibit the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges and environments.
