We are looking for a Project Procurement Lead to manage procurement packages for complex projects, coordinating suppliers, negotiations, and purchase order execution to ensure equipment and materials are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and tendering approaches for project purchase requests.
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers in collaboration with buyers and category managers.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance throughout the purchase order lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project teams, and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Track procurement schedules and proactively identify risks related to cost, quality, or delivery timelines.
  • Manage supplier interfaces during purchase order execution and ensure alignment with project priorities.
  • Provide performance feedback to category managers and escalate issues where required.
  • Report procurement progress to the Project Procurement Manager and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and procurement processes.

Requirements Project Procurement Lead

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing procurement packages within complex engineering or EPC projects.
  • Strong background in contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Experience coordinating procurement activities for technical equipment or engineered packages.
  • Experience with valves or mechanical equipment procurement in the oil & gas industry is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain management tools.
  • Knowledge of oil & gas procurement standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional project teams.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
