Safety and Loss Prevention Lead Engineer

We are looking for an SLP Lead Engineer to oversee Safety & Loss Prevention throughout every project phase. In this role, you'll mentor engineers, conduct technical audits, and drive process improvements to keep the project fully compliant with safety standards.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Lead Safety & Loss Prevention engineering through all project phases (proposal, FEED, EPCI).
• Develop discipline execution plans, including man-hour estimates and resource schedules for proposals and ongoing projects.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing, evaluating, and implementing lessons learned to enhance SLP guidelines and work instructions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to ensure effective knowledge transfer and adherence to industry best practices.
• Conduct quality audits of SLP deliverables, both in-house and at subcontractor sites, to verify compliance with technical standards and corporate processes.
• Collaborate with Discipline Managers, Technical Authorities, and Engineering Management to boost the quality and efficiency of deliverables.

• 15+ years of experience in conceptual design, FEED, and EPC projects within offshore Oil & Gas (FPSO epxerience is preferred).
• 4+ years in a lead-engineer role with demonstrated team-management success.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and delegate tasks to meet tight schedules.
• Track record of cross-discipline collaboration to ensure seamless proejct delivery.
• Proactive mindset with experience optimising engineering methods in fast-track environments.
• Deep technical expertise in process safety and loss prevention systems, including HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA studies.
• Familiarity with industry SLP tools and software for hazard analysis and safety design.
