Are you an experienced Senior Buyer looking to make your next career move in the world of offshore, marine, and energy industries?

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to oversee all procurement activities, including purchasing, subcontracts, expediting, and traffic management. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring external resources, goods, and services, ensuring their timely delivery and compliance with terms and conditions, to support business activities.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor man-hour budgets, planning, quality standards and progress reports for all procurement activities.
  • Establish the project procurement requirements.
  • Prepare procurement plan, based on procedures, practices, standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Direct and guide project team members and coach junior buyers on all project-related procurement matters.
  • Safeguard the company's as well as the client's interests during the project.
  • The main focal point on all procurement-related matters between sellers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge about local and international sellers and subcontractor markets, finance aspects, letters of credit, transport documents and more.

Requirements Senior Buyer

  • Bachelor's of Science or Bachelor's of Business Administration.
  • 5-10 years experience in purchasing and sub-contracting for suppliers within the Oil & Gas market.
  • Experience in process equipment-related fields, such as the Oil & Gas and Offshore wind industry.
  • Experience with contracting capital-intensive projects.
  • Experience with commissioning and start-up services.
  • Excellent command of the English language, written and spoken.
  • In possession of a valid VCA or VCA-VOL certificate or willingness to acquire these.
  • Competences: communicative, cooperative, result- and customer-oriented, trustworthy, flexible, tidy, accurate, professional knowledge, patient, training ability, leadership skills, ability to build relationships, commercially driven.
