We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to oversee process engineering tasks for onshore and offshore facilities, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation within the energy sector.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop, prepare, and check PFDs, HMBs, and P&IDs.
- Perform simulation and modelling to define and optimise process parameters, equipment sizing, and performance.
- Prepare sizing calculations for vessels, pumps, lines, etc.
- Prepare safety valve relief load calculations.
- Prepare design basis, safeguarding philosophies control narrative, and operating procedures.
- Attend hazard and risk assessment, including HAZOP studies.
- Identify and mitigate process safety risks to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
- Develop project specifications, and cost estimates, and plan/schedule the process engineering activities.
- Support project planning, identify scope and progress, and act as a focal point of process in communication with the project team and client.
Requirements Senior Process Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 6+ years of working experience in process discipline, preferably in the oil and gas industry (upstream).
- 2+ years of working experience in a similar position acting as a Senior Process Engineer.
- Strong knowledge and experience with process simulation software (e.g., Hysys, UniSim, Proll), Flare calculation software, Heat exchanger software (e.g., BJAC), Hazard analysis software (e.g., PHAworks), SIL software (e.g., exSILentia).
- Detailed knowledge of engineering techniques and methods for projects in the fields mentioned.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO).
- Experience with process safety management systems and hazard analysis techniques.
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines with minimum supervision when required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary projects.
- Good knowledge of English (both verbally and in writing) and preferably Dutch.
- Entitled to work in the Netherlands.
