Systems Engineer (Medior / Senior / Lead)

We are looking for Systems Engineers (Medior / Senior / Lead) to join a dynamic engineering team that drives complex offshore energy, maritime, and infrastructure projects. We have openings at three levels: Medior, Senior, and Lead. In this role, you'll apply Systems Engineering (SE) best practices, including Requirements Management, Verification and Validation (V&V), Risk Management, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), across EPC projects, shaping both individual project outcomes and company-wide SE processes.

Task & responsibilities:

All Levels

• Implement and uphold Systems Engineering processes throughout design, engineering, and construction.
• Develop, maintain, and expand a central requirements database (e.g., Relatics).
• Define test plans, execute and document results.
• Identify system risks, propose mitigations, and track changes against requirements.
• Collaborate across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, maritime) to ensure system-level integration.
• Conform to relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 15288, IEC 61508).
• Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., SysML) to visualise system architectures and interfaces.

Medior Systems Engineer

• Work under senior oversight to build and maintain the requirements database.
• Create interface control documents, system block diagrams, and allocation matrices.
• Develop and execute test cases; collect data for validation reports.
• Assist in risk assessments and hazard analyses.

Senior Systems Engineer

• Own end-to-end requirements management for medium-scale EPC sub-projects.
• Lead V&V activities, coordinate cross-disciplinary technical reviews, and resolve complex systems issues.
• Mentor Medior engineers in MBSE modeling and SE best practices.
• Drive risk workshops while ensuring that mitigation plans align with project timelines and budget.

Lead Systems Engineer

• Define and refine corporate SE strategy, shaping SE guidelines and templates.
• Oversee the entire SE process portfolio: from concept reviews through commissioning.
• Coordinate a small team of SE specialists, providing technical leadership and resource planning.
• Interface with clients on systems-level scoping, proposals, and strategic SE roadmap.
• Ensure consistency of SE outputs across projects, champion continuous improvement initiatives.

• BSc or Msc in Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Medior: ≥ 5 years in Systems Engineering on multidisciplinary EPC projects.
• Senior: ≥ 7 years, with demonstrated leadership in requirements management and V&V.
• Lead: ≥ 10 years, including SE strategy, team leadership, an dclient engagement.
• Proven experience with a requirements-management platform (e.g., Relatics).
• Hands-on MBSE/SysML modeling using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler or Enterprise Architect.
• Strong background in V&V methodologies, risk analyses (FMEA, FTA) and system test planning.
• Familiarity with offshore-energy or heavy-industrial standards (ISO 15288, IEC 61508, DNV).
• Excellent communication in English (Dutch is a plus!).
• Structured, analytical thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Collaborative attitude: proven ability to engage multidisicplinary teams and customers.
