We are looking for a Telecommunications Engineer to design, manage, and integrate communication systems while leading teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop project-specific system designs with associated documentation including philosophies, layouts, specifications, block diagrams, and calculations.
- Act as a package engineer for Telecom packages, collaborating closely with the Supply Chain for technical bid evaluations.
- Lead the Telecom team, ensuring the flow of information to remote teams and Telecom Integrator for the preparation of layouts, diagrams, lists, and MTOs.
- Review vendor data to ensure proper integration of sub-systems and interfaces with other disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory regimes, classification requirements, the company's standards, and client specifications.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement of technical solutions and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on technological advancements in offshore/shipbuilding industries.
- Educate and train less experienced telecom engineers on technical aspects.
- Participate in the improvement of engineering methods.
Requirements Telecommunication Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering or related field from a reputable University of Technical College.
- At least 8 years of experience in Telecommunication systems design within the offshore industry.
- Proficiency in managing package interfaces and remote teams.
- Experience with Telecommunication systems for Marine applications is required.
- Competence in Telecom design in hazardous areas, such as IECEx001 standards.
- Familiarity with systems typically installed on FPSOs, including VSAT, PAGA, Telephone (PABX & VoIP), LAN & WiFi & 4G LTE, Navigational equipment, GMDSS, Metocean monitoring, radio systems (UHF, VHF Marine Aeronautical), CCTV, Entertainment (TVRO), Tanker berthing, and FPSO positioning.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Proactive approach, initiative-taking, problem-solving, and creative-thinking abilities.
- Professional proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient with MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Team player mentality with a collaborative approach and safety-conscious mindset.
