We are looking for a Junior Project Buyer to support the procurement process by coordinating suppliers, managing purchase activities, and ensuring materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and according to project requirements.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Support the procurement process for project materials, equipment, and services.
- Review technical requisitions and coordinate with engineering teams to clarify requirements.
- Prepare issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers.
- Assist with bid evaluations, supplier comparisons, and commercial assessments.
- Support negotiations regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
- Create and maintain purchase orders and procurement records within procurement systems.
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, documentation, and delivery status.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate delays or discrepancies when required.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance improvement activities.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Provide procurement status updates to buyers and project teams.
Requirements Junior Project Buyer
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1—3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, expediting, or supplier coordination.
- Experience within engineering, industrial, construction, or energy sectors is preferred.
- Exposure to technical purchasing or project procurement is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage!
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop within procurement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
